She couldn't feel anything except for the dull throbbing of her head. She was sure the rest of her body was numb from the fall, if not broken into pieces. This was ridiculous. Computers don't just start refusing orders, flickering, and talking to you unless they had a virus, and they definitely didn't blind you and cause such pain. That must be it. A virus. Some kid in Asia must have had way too much time on his or her hands and made a horribly painful virus. Hah! Like that would happen. Let's get real: her head hurt, she could barely feel the rest of her body, and the ground around her felt more like the forest outside the villa rather than her cozy little study. That must be it. She was in the forest! How she got there was beyond her. Blindly, she willed her hand to move, grunting and groaning when it refused the first few urges. Slowly, her arm lifted up, patting the ground around her as if searching for something. Soil, plant, rock, more soil... Aha! Her pale hand rested atop a durable messenger bag that was resting at her side, the strap laying loosely over her torso. At least whoever pulled such a horrible prank remembered to keep her laptop with her. She would die without that machine. The girl's face scrunched up, eyelids fluttering in an attempt to open them. It took a few moments before light flooded her vision. She willed her other hand to come up, hovering above her eyes to block out the sun. How long had she been out? Blinking a couple hundred times, she slowly removed her hand from above her eyes, a purely dumbfounded look spreading across her face as she stared up at the canopy that stretched high above her. This was not the forest she knew and semi-loved. This was... " Damn. Toto, we're not in Germany anymore." She groaned once more, letting her hand rest on her eyes once more. The girl leaned forwards, sitting up and allowing her hand to drop from her face. Where the hell was she? Blue eyes skimmed the area around her before resting on her attire. It was probably a good thing she didn't feel like changing into pajamas last night. With a sigh, she turned close to ninety degrees, letting out a nice, long sigh when her back popped. She paused, however, as she turned back around, her eyes trained on a grinning face that was mere inches away from her own. Letting out a yelp, she scrambled backwards, clutching her laptop case close to her chest. " Wh-wh-who--? D-d-don't sneak up on me like that!" She wasn't very proud of her stuttering, but she did just wake up in a strange place and a creepy, grinning face appeared out of no where. She had the right to be startled. The owner of the grin didn't seem to be answering, so Aleit took the time to quickly calm down. Her breathing returned to normal after taking in a few deep breaths, and she loosened her grip on her bag. Narrowing her eyes, she spoke once more. " Who the hell are you? Better yet, what are you?" She looked the creature up and down, taking note of every little detail, from the color of its skin to the tentacles to the grin on its face. A laugh erupted from the creature as it brought its hands together, almost as if it was clapping, and tilted its head to the side. " Kekekeke!" Oh, Gott, it's cackling. This was just great. " I'm Keramon, though you should already know that from these." The creature-- Keramon--held up a stack of cards, spreading them out like a fan. Sure enough, the first card had a picture of Keramon plastered on it. Aleit's dumbfounded look returned as she allowed her mind to register what was happening. One: Keramon had her trading cards. Two: Keramon was on one of the cards. Three: Keramon had her trading cards. Letting out a growl, she lunged towards the cards, dropping her bag to the ground. " Give those back!" Keramon jumped back, cackling all the while. " Gotta catch me first!" Letting out a growl, the girl hopped to her feet, shaking the numbness out of her legs. " Oh, you're just asking for it, aren't you?" She lunged forwards once more, completely missing as the creature--erm, Digimon, according to the cards it stole. She tried again and again, deciding to refer to Keramon as a he somewhere along the line, before she was finally able to capture the Digimon, landing on top of him as he squirmed under her weight. Swiping the cards away from him, she let a triumphant grin form on her face. " Aha!" She sat up, still sitting on Keramon as she waved the cards above his head. " Caught'cha." Aleit stood up, brushing off the dirt from her skirt, and strolled over to her discarded messenger bag. Crouching down, she unfastened the buckles and slipped the deck of cards into the front pocket. She glanced up as a shadow was cast over the bag. " What?" Keramon stood there, grinning at her. " Was that a laptop? Oooo! You brought me food, didn't you?" Her eye twitched as the Digimon loomed over the bag, looking like a half-starved lunatic. " No way in hell." The bag's strap was resting on her shoulder within a split second, and the girl stood up and looked down upon the Rookie. " If you want food, you'll have to go search through some other sap's technology." She turned around on her heels, marching off in the opposite direction. The Digimon followed, seeming dead set on that laptop. After a seemingly long while of turning left and right and trying to figure out where she was going, the teenager finally halted her steps. She turned around, glaring at the Keramon who didn't tire of following her around. " What?" The Digimon tilted his head to the side, grinning his permanent grin. " Do I need a reason?" He inquired, letting out a cackle. " Yes, you do." He cackled once more, shaking his head. " Then let's just say I've grown fond of you." Oh, yes, because all girls wanted some laughing Digimon to confess to them. Just. Perfect.

File Island, the Tropical Jungle. How long has it been since his last visit there? Nothing seems to have changed, really nothing at all -- the same trees at the same heights, exactly as he remembered them as a Popomon; it might be safer to say, it has changed as the trees' heights remained the same, meaning they grew together with him. The soil, it was somewhat rough yet still soft, sand rocks coated with grass. From between the trees you could still see the blue Digital World sky, and seeing how this island exclusively wasn't as bountiful with flying lifeforms as the rest of the world, you could just stare at it all day with no interruptions. This place... it brings back so many memories.
And why was he here? The question has no answer. It is because he possesses 'freedom'. Yes, unlimited "freedom" in the Digital World that will soon perish either way. Why not pay a visit to the place where he was born?
Standing on one of the thicker branches while leaning with his left hand on the main body, the trunk of the tree, Leomon X gazed upon the scenery before sighing once more and coming down, jumping to the ground and landing perfectly with a roll and a stop on one knee. There was not much to do, now that he had no objectives left. Well, to say he had 'no objectives left' would be a lie, but as of now there really was nothing that would pique his interest. A pack of Digimon passing by, peaceful Mushroomon and Floramon. That's odd, back in his day these types never really got together... Oh well, leave it at that, these guys could not serve the kind of beasts any, not in his current state.
"This island..." He started, "... At least this one remains the same. Though... The odd ripples in the sky..." He remarked to himself, gazing up through a single hole in the treetop his eyes laid eyes on, seeing the distortions in the sky and clouds increasing in number more and more often, yet not in a rate or size that would be dangerous for either world. Not that it matters; soon it will come to an end. The Digimon then started walking, his red cape fluttering in the sudden change in direction, moving in the gentle breeze caught in it. His sword, sheathed on his back calmly, Leomon X had decided to perhaps just explore the island once more.
Surprised he was. Yes, very surprised, to see a human girl and a Keramon together in a forest clearing, the sun clearly shining upon them - as if the light was to focus on these two specifically, like some fantasy story. To keep from being noticed, Leomon X remained still in-between the plantlife hiding his large posture, watching carefully for anything to happen. What was a human girl doing in a place like this? What's more, a Keramon in File Island? That would be considered an even stranger phenomenon than a human appearing in the Digital World. Thinking that to himself, he paid attention closely, listening-in on their conversation and the sounds of everything around.
There might have been some wild Digimon around too, this pair was exceedingly rare to see, in a place like this anyway. Not that the king could care less; he was only killing time.

This Digimon's smile was really getting creepy, yet, at the same time, she was also finding it cute. It wasn't too much of a surprise to her, honestly. She tended to favor the more disturbingly cute things than the fluffy froo-froo crap other girls liked. Old rag dolls with blue skin, mannequins, and even spiders have made it into her collection before. Oh, the spiders were great. Back on topic. Aleit sighed, running her fingers through her long hair, brushing it out of her face. He doesn't seem like the type to give up on something very quickly, and it looks like she was stuck with this guy. Placing her hand on her hip, she let her narrowed blue eyes scan the clearing they were in. When did they stumble upon this place? Better yet, why were there some traffic signs jutting out of the ground? Weird. Then again, this was the, uh... " Where are we?" She question, arching an eyebrow. Keramon cackled, tilting his head to the side while circling around the human. It was very strange. Very strange, indeed, but she had to ignore the growing feeling that she was being circled by a predator. " You're in the Digital World~!" If his grin could stretch any further across his face, it would have. " To be precise, we're in a forest--" Aleit gave him a no duh look, " --on File Island." He finished off with a cackle, only to pause his cackling and circling. The Digimon scanned the clearing, narrowing his own eyes despite the smile still being there. It must be sewn on or something. Aleit groaned, sitting down on the ground. " Digital World, right." She took out the card that held a limited amount of Keramon's information, staring at it intently. There was something she should remember about this Digimon, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. " Say--" " Shh!" Aleit frowned, turning towards the Keramon. What the hell was that for? Rude. Keramon stared intently at the other side of the clearing. " We have a visitor."

Not even blinking, Leomon X inspected the human and the odd Digimon in the scene. This truly was rare, for Keramon to appear in File Island. To even side with a human from the other world, too. In his mind, it was worth seeing through to the end, but as things went... This rate could not get much slower in actual progress, all they did was blabber about the Digial World. This girl didn't seem like she had any idea where she was, though for the majority of those unfortunate enough to be sent here rather come on their own will - this was a common sight. Leomon wasn't surprised. He mentally sighed, lowering his head in disappointment.
"(Come on. What am I getting so much expectation from. It's just another Keramon and a clueless human. I shouldn't be wasting my time here.)"
He arrogantly remarked in his mind, though before actually leaving the scene something else jumped from out of the bushes. An enemy Digimon, it had to be. There wasn't anything else that could interrupt the other one's sense of peace, and it was only natural that a fellow Digimon could sense danger approaching if it's data. Leomon X, he could feel the presence as well, but was not threatened enough to even pay attention to it. Soon enough, the creature made a lung at him - only to miss. Gracefully enough, Leomon X did nothing by spin his body, allowing the other Digimon to miss him by a very short, but sufficient distance, making the actual charge end in the clearing - in-front of the human adolescent and the Keramon.
It then crossed the bestial Digimon's eyesight, the black ring stuck in the Digimon's back. He could identify it as Roachmon per appearance, and the black ring stuck in the back is sure to cause some trouble. Now there's finally something to look for.
"(Hmm. This should be enough to entertain me. Let's see how would you react to this, human.)"
With eagerness to see how the human and Digimon duo would react to a rampaging Roachmon, Leomon X stood calmly - hidden behind his camouflage, anticipating a good show. At the very least, if these guys prove to be bad, he could enjoy looking at the Champion-level slaughter, or perhaps jump in if he gets bored. So many options, time's running out...

She was on her feet quicker than she ever had to do before, cringing at the sharp pain that shot up through her tired muscles. She would have to ignore the pain for now. There was a new Digimon on the scene. Taking a step back, she quickly analyzed the situation. Keramon and a human verses the giant cockroach-- Roachmon, she heard Keramon cackle out. It was just a roach, right? They could easily take him! ... Right? Her own digital, uh... Partner seemed to be having a field day despite the obvious advantage this giant roach had over them. His shoulders shook with each crazed laugh he took. It didn't even faze him, really, when a bunch of trash was shoved in his face. Wait, trash? Jeez, that was a lame move. It was a mutant cockroach, though... Sigh... The Rookie seemed to swim through the air, almost, as he positioned himself mere feet away from the overgrown roach. " Bug blaster!" Did they really have to announce their moves? Regardless of how stupid saying your move seemed, Keramon shot out a reddish bullet of light at the Roachmon. He softly cackled away, even as the red lights did little to no damage to the giant roach. The bug was knocked back only a few inches. It wasn't enough to do really anything. Aleit bit down on her lip, narrowed blue eyes assessing the situation. She dug through her bag, grabbing the deck of cards and shuffling through them. She paused at a card that read Roachmon, frowning at what it said. Crap, he was a Champion level. There was no way Keramon could defeat it alone without Digivolving, and, honestly, she didn't know if she could aid him in that. She took a few steps back, observing the battle from the other side of the clearing. Keramon didn't seem to notice or care, already shooting out another round of light bullets from his mouth. Though, this time he said crazy giggle. Pah! How strange. The Rookie grinned at the Roachmon, cackling to himself as he was knocked to the ground by an entire yard sale falling from the ground. When the smoke cleared, he was struggling to rid himself of a lamp shade that had stuck itself on his head, his hands tugging and pulling before he settled with simply eating the damn thing. Well, it was made of data, after all.

And so, the battle began shortly after the wild Digimon made its little mistake, quickly changing targets from Leomon X to the Keramon which seemed to enjoy being hit over and over, and presumably the human girl too, that would come when the main fighting force is out of the way. With that tactic in mind, it seemed like the chase had began, with the Rookie-level Digimon obviously on the run. Roachmon wasn't the fastest of flyers either was it overly powerful, overall a below-average but still strong Champion-level Digimon. With a black ring now stuck in its back and making it a crazy rampaging beast, it's guaranteed that the creature's fighting abilities are improved, even if he becomes subjective to more attacks out of sheer recklessness granted with the insanity.
As expected, Roachman had the Keramon on the ropes. The multiply fired fireballs - Bug Shooter, Keramon's special attack, couldn't barely even scratch the Champion-level. That wasn't exactly expected, Leomon X could predict the Rookie to put a little more of a fight, though this was a battle of an entire rank's difference. Their powers was right now, heaven and earth away. Quickly enough, the Keramon was knocked down to the ground, head buries in a lamp shade. As it started devouring the data of the object, more and more distortions in its materialized form could be seen. This intrigued Leomon X, this power wasn't seen before - not by his eyes at least.
But Roachmon obviously didn't falter, and as soon as the Rookie began devouring, the older one charged with full speed, aiming to ram at whatever was in the way - with the Rookie and the data object being the main target. This could very much mean the end of the show and goodbye for intriguing abilities, something Leomon X did not really wish would happen. And yet, revealing himself was not going to ever be an option, for these guys don't deserve his help. He doesn't need to help them, if they can't survive on the Digital World on their own that means that fate decided to laugh at them once more. There is no hope, after all. Plus, he can't ever be sure they will actually be obliged to aid him in need if he ever needs it, thus it would just not worth it.
And yet. A stone was thrown. A very fast stone, hitting Roachmon's back - right at the dark ring, causing the Digimon to suddenly stop and scream in pain. As he suspected, that ring was not part of the insect's body, it was some odd virus entering. That would be where to strike if he wanted to efficiently take out this guy without killing. "(This will be the only help I will give you. Now, entertain me further, Keramon and human. What are you going to do now?)" He wondered to himself, relocating himself above the bushes, hidden in a treetop where his view is not interrupted, but figure is still hidden.

Aleit couldn't help but take a few steps back, stopping when her back brushed up against the bark of a tree that loomed over her. Her eyes couldn't leave the battle scene before her. Well, it couldn't really be considered a battle. Keramon was having too much fun, laughing at the obviously stronger Digimon. He had even taken to eating up more of the junk laying around on the ground, devouring its data like it was nothing. Due to his eating, any movement by the giant cockroach went unnoticed. The girl groaned, shaking her head. She shouldn't worry about him. He would be fine, right? Besides, he was the one who could use those strange powers. All she could do was yell, throw things, and program her computer. Wait--what was that? Her eyes flitted over to the other side of the clearing, a frown forming as she narrowed her eyes. Was that a shadow figure? It looked... Rather large, so it definitely wasn't human. Her eye twitched as something was thrown, following the movement of the object to the Roachmon. She arched a pale eyebrow before a look of realization spread across her face. " Keramon!" The Digimon paused his snack, looking up at the teenager with a half-eaten sock hanging out of his mouth. Ugh, he was going to have to teach him some better table manners, despite the lack of table. She pointed towards the screaming Roachmon, barking out an order. " Hit him square in the back!" The Keramon tilted his head to the side, glancing over to the giant roach. He softly cackled before floating into the air and over the Roachmon, using some newly found speed after eating so much data. His eyes scanned over the creature's back, and he couldn't help but comment. " But, I only see a circ--" " Then hit it circle in the back!" Keramon shrugged, tilting back his head before lunging forwards, sending out another Bug Blaster.
